Young DJ Switch is living it up in Hollywood, having the time of her life.
In the few days she’s been in LA, she’s been spotted at YouTube Space Los Angeles, met the band ‘Love Ghost’ and most consequentially, met Hollywood legend and Academy Award winning actress Octavia Spencer.
Octavia is exactly the sort of accomplished and talented role model for someone like Switch to look up to and you can tell she was very excited to meet her.
DJ Switch shared a photo of their meeting on her Instagram account.
She captioned the photo; “It’s an honor running into @octaviaspencer today! I hope our paths cross again! Thanks for the picture!!”
The way she’s started Switch is headed towards having a career as important in Ghana as Octavia’s is in the U.S.
Octavia Spencer is an African-American actress most known for roles in ‘Hidden Figures’, ‘The Shape of Water’ and ‘The Divergent’ series, among others.
She is one of two black actresses to have received three Academy Award nominations and the first black actress to receive two consecutive nominations.
