Ghanaian actress and former beauty pageant contester Yvonne Nelson recently showed up on Nana Ama McBrown’s show to discuss the struggles of raising a baby as a celebrity.
The actress described how she had to hold the head of her child while being transported to the hospital to have her. She claims she didn’t know she was in labour until her baby daddy said something. She had to rely on the goodness of her neighbour to get her to a hospital and the journey was the scariest she has ever been.
The actress talked about fearing for her life and that of her child. She believed that she was going to lose her life and was very concerned for the child.
Yvonne shared her views on marriage and seem to devalue the idea of marriage. She questioned why many people seem to think marriage is such an important aspect of life.
Yvonne is said to have started dating the baby daddy while he was still married to the ex-wife. Many labelled her as a home wreaker although she has denied dating the guy when he was married. The ex-wife claims to have introduced the husband to Yvonne therefore see her as a back stabber.
It looks like she is happy being a single parent and is content with her current situation. She admits that raising the kid has been difficult and this has opened her eyes on the challenges of raising a child. She now has a new appreciation for her mum and can’t thank her mum enough for the help she offers to her.
