Apparently Nigerian singer Davido has been criticized a lot for flaunting his father’s wealth.
Recently he flaunted his father’s newly acquired private jet and was criticized by many for doing so.

Reacting to that the singer said he’s not going to stop flaunting his father’s wealth because he does so to inspire others.
According to him, he’s not rubbing his family’s wealth in anyone’s face but rather does so to motivate others.
Speaking in a recent interview with BBC the singer noted that his actions is to prove to some Americans who think Africans live in huts and have nothing that they are wrong with such notions.
He also added that he sometimes get letters and messages from young people who tell him how he has inspired them.

He said “We’re not here to rub it in anybody’s face, we’re here to show motivation. Many kids write to me and tell me that I’m the reason they want to finish school, and projects, and become successful.”
“In America there are people who think we live in huts, sometimes I feel like I want to show them… We’re living the life, we’re going crazy, you feel me? It has nothing to do with showing off or trying to oppress anybody. They oppress us enough.”
