Ubi Franklin’s South African Baby Mama is not backing down at all— last Sunday when the world was celebrating International Women’s Day, she commented on novelist Chimamanda’s post where she talked about how women are treated anyhow in Nigeria.
According to Nicola Siyo, she lived in Nigeria for two years and it was during her stay there that she realized women were treated anyhow and their rights were almost non-existent, adding that a woman could get into trouble for merely being a woman.
Nigerians came for her, asking that she rather focuses on her home country which is South African because Nigeria is far better and the women are treated way better than women in South Africa.
Nicole has hit back, according to her, what she said is evidently true as she having even an opinion has led to men and people calling her names and branding her as an animal.
She wrote: “… Comparing a woman with an animal. I’m not surprised. Deeply engraved misogynistic attitude lead by a patriarchal society. But who am I to have an opinion.”
