As part of measures put in place to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus, the president Nana Akufo Addo announced the lock-down of some areas in Ghana.
The major and busy cities which include Accra, Tema, Kasoa, Kumasi among others are all locked down forcing almost everyone to be quarantined on their own.

Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson, while reacting to the president’s lock-down decision said it’s not the best decision as a lot of people are running away from Accra.
She posted on her twitter page appreciating the president for taking such a bold step but added that there are some loopholes and misinformation causing confusion.
Adding that some people have already run away from Accra to escape the lock-down and the possibility of spreading the virus if any of them have it is very high.

She wrote “While I appreciate the efforts the government is putting in to control this pandemic; I believe this #lockdown was not fully thought through. So many grey areas, loopholes, misinformation, and confusion. Like some people have already run away to other regions.”
