Manchester City Coach Pep Guardiola’s Mum Has Died of Coronavirus

Coronavirus is still a huge headache in other parts of the world.

In countries like Italy, Spain and the United States, they are still in massive crisis and fighting to contain it.

The fight in Spain has affected a very prominent sports personality as Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has unfortunately lost his mum to the virus.

Guardiola’s 82-year-old mum passed away after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

His club Manchester City announced the news on social media as they sent their condolences.

“The Manchester City family are devastated to report the death today of Pep’s mother Dolors Sala Carrió in Manresa, Barcelona after contracting Corona Virus. She was 82-years-old.” the statement said.

“Everyone associated with the club sends their most heartfelt sympathy at this most distressing time to Pep, his family and all their friends,”

Guardiola is currently one of the most successful managers around, having won league titles in Spain, Germany and England as well as two Champions League titles during his time with Barcelona.
