Covid-19, there is nothing as messier and dreadful as this!
And the Indians are having at it from the looks of things.
People do not just give names out to their children— in fact, we have come to know that, names are often given based on a happening at a particular time or after someone the parent revere.
That is how we have names like Winter, Sunny, Lily amongst other names. But naming your child after a pandemic sure may not sound sane to lots of people except for these Indian parents.
An Indian couple whose name has been given us Manju Mail and Raghunath gave birth in Bacheri village and have named their baby Lockdown.
According to them, their son was born during the country’s 21-day strict lockdown hence the name.
The mother, Manju said: “He is Lockdown, as he was born during the lockdown period. My son and our family will remember this time of crisis throughout our life.
“It is a significant name. The whole world is using the lockdown as a means to steam this pandemic. We should not take Lockdown lightly.”
This follows after another Indian couple named their twins, Corona and Covid.
