Social Media Mocks Toyin Abraham After She Was Announced As New NCDC Ambassador to Replace Funke Akindele

Social media has been turned into a battlefield after a new video from the Nigerian Centres for Disease Control (NCDC) featured Toyin Abraham.

Abraham seems to have taken over Funke Akindele’s role as an ambassador for the NCDC, a role she lost after holding a party during the lockdown.

She was arrested and put on trial for flouting lockdown rules and her blatant disregard for the dangers of the virus led the NCDC to sever ties with her.

Now, it seems Toyin has been chosen as her replacement as she was spotted in a new coronavirus sensitization video.

Some social media users are not happy about the choice of Toyin, calling her a downgrade from Funke.

“This move does not project the image of the brand positively. The brand has only Strategize enemity on the brand. Not the best move within the Nollywood. A known brand personality should have been engaged. My opinion! Toyin, all the best!” one fan vented on social media.

The NCDC shared the video and it’s replies became a minefield with two sides battling.
