On the evening of Sunday, April 19th, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo announced that the partial lockdown implemented 3 weeks ago to fight the spread of COVID-19 has been lifted.
The President also said that the ban on social gatherings remains intact and encouraged Ghanaians to continue practising safe social distancing and hygienic practices.

However, the announcement of lifting the lockdown just triggered the silly side of Ghanaians as people poured into the streets to jubilate over no longer being stuck at home.
Videos of such jubilations hit the web last night shocking many over how irresponsible they’re being.
The lockdown might have been lifted but it doesn’t mean the illness has vanished!
