Sarkodie’s agenda of trying to bring back the ‘dead’ Azonto became a trend after some of his colleagues joined to help bring back once Ghana’s favourite dance.
But musician Gasmilla felt offended by Sarkodie’s initiative by claiming Azonto isn’t dead for anyone to revive it, adding that Sarkodie should have asked for permission from him first.

This placed the rapper in an awkward situation hence putting a hold on his initiative for the mean time.
In a recent interview with Abeiku Santana on OkayFM, Sarkodie revealed that he never claimed originality of Azonto, moreover he has no problem with Gasmilla hence he doesn’t know why he’s acting like that.
According to him, his idea is just to bring back the Azonto genre that almost all music lovers like so if someone doesn’t want to join, he has no problem but if along the line the person changes his mind to join that is also not a problem to him.
