Efia Odo and Xandy Kamel have blasted Ghanaians for only recognizing their heroes when they are no more. The two were reacting separately to the demise of prominent Kumawood actor, Bishop Bernard Nyarko.
Bishop Bernard Nyarko, arguably one of Ghana’s finest actors was announced dead on May 2 2020. Tributes and outpouring of grief came pouring in from Ghanaians, especially on Social media as many described the fallen actor as a hero.
Reacting on Instagram, actress and social media influencer Efia Odo wrote, “Don’t wait for people to die before you recognize them. Whilst they are alive, show them how essential they are. Our living legends need to be acknowledged and appreciated for all the entertainment they’ve given us. This world is scary and tomorrow is never promised”.
Also reacting separately to the same subject matter, actress Xandy Kamel wrote, “And all am seeing is I liked him oo ,I loved him oo, he was a great actor , he is a legend ,he was a good man eeeeiii Ghana 🇬🇭 must someone die before you celebrate him boi continue one day a ghost will slap someone”.
Months before his demise, Bernard Nyarko announced his decision not to feature in movies any longer. According to him, there were evil spirits controlling the movie industry.
