Ghana’s Dancing Pallbearers Go International Again As They Thank All Medical Personnel Worldwide – The Famous Group Now Recognized By UK Daily Mail

Ghana’s famous dancing pallbearers have caught the attention of the international community once again after posting a video to thank all medical personnel for their selfless dedication in these trying times.

Catching the attention of the UK Daily Mail, a British daily middle-market newspaper published in London in a tabloid format, and which is the UK’s third-highest circulation newspaper after Metro and the Sun, it appears there is no end to the barriers these famous pallbearers continue to break.

The leader of the famous group, Benjamin Aidoo posted a video on his Instagram page to thank all medical personnel for their work during the pandemic, warning all to stay home or dance with them.

This caught the attention of the daily mail who wrote on the group’s exploits and meme-generating activities in an article titled, “Ghana’s dancing pallbearers – now a famous meme – share message thanking coronavirus doctors around the world and urging people: Stay home, or you dance with us!”.

The group went viral back in 2017 after BBC Africa shared a video showing their flamboyant coffin-carrying dances. However, their fame skyrocketed when this video was streamed all over the world with their impressive choreography even finding its way into a music video.

Though many people have come to know them as Ghana’s dancing pallbearers, their actual name is Nana Otafrija pallbearing and waiting service.

Their fame has taken a different turn as social media users have filmed their own versions of the famous dances to create various humoured memes, many of which are shared by the leader of the group himself.
