Influential Ghanaian Rapper Manifest has revealed that Reggae/Dancehall musician Stonebwoy was upset after he collaborated with the dancehall artiste’s former signee Kelvyn Boy on the song ‘Yawa no dey’.
Manifest made this revelation in an interview with media personality Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD). Kelvyn Boy left Stonebwoy’s record label Burniton Music Group ‘under a cloud’ last year.
The song ‘Yawa no dey’ also happened to be the first track Kelvyn did after he left the label, prompting many to believe that it was a diss aimed at his former boss.
Touching on the issue, Manifest said, “We are cool. We have recorded songs when we meet at Tema. Look, I didn’t think he liked it. I didn’t think he liked it that I recorded a song with Kelvyn Boy and he expressed it. That’s fine. no, he didn’t call me, he expressed it in some press conference and it’s his right because they both had some stuff going in between them”.
