Accra based radio station Accra Fm and its sister stations have indicated they would no longer play the songs of KiDi on-air.
This decision comes in the wake of KiDi having an altercation with one of their radio presenters during a scheduled interview.
KiDi reportedly arrived late for the interview, at which point the presenter Nana Romeo berated him and then sacked him from the studio.
However, reports say much more than lateness occurred and that KiDi passed some comments which the station did not like, such as claiming he is bigger than the station.
In light of that, they have decided to no longer give air-time to his songs on their channels.
DJ Premier, who brokered the link between Accra Fm and KiDi’s management, revealed this in an interview.
“I had a call from their top manager asking me to speak to KiDi because something has happened. They wanted to sanction KiDi by making all their brands stop playing his work because something happened that wasn’t captured in the video,” he revealed during an appearance on Daybreak Hitz.
Accra Fm is a member of the Class Media Group whose channels include Class Fm, Kumasi Fm, Adehye Fm and more.
