Prominent Ghanaian Rapper Sarkodie has reacted to assertions made by colleague Rapper Edem that all Ghanaian artistes are hungry.

Edem in a series of tweets alleged that all Ghanaian artistes are hungry because they do not get the necessary financial rewards for their hard work because the system is not favourable.

Edem further claimed that Sarkodie has been in the music industry for over 10 years but he has not made even 20k in royalties for all the hit songs he has released during that decade.

However, reacting to Edem’s assertions, Sarkodie has thrown his support behind his colleague insisting that his assertions are true.

In a lengthy post on Twitter, Sarkodie explained that what Edem is doing is sparking a genuine conversation about what artists need to do in order not to end up hungry after all the hard work.
