A former defender of Asante Kotoko Football Club, John Kuffour, has been granted bail after he was arrested for biting off his ex-girlfriend’s nipple.
Kuffour was granted bail by the Ejisu District Court hearing the case in the sum of Ghc 50,000 with two sureties.

The facts of the case as narrated by Chief Prosecutor Emmanuel Appiah Kubi was that the incident occurred in 2017.
The duo, Kuffour and Dennisa Hagan had been dating for 6 years prior to when the incident occurred.
On 1st January 2017, Kuffour visited Dennisa to confront her after they had an issue.
He was not happy with her answer to his queries and a physical altercation occurred during which he bit her nipple.
The victim suffered several injuries due to the attack and has had to undergo surgery.

The case has been adjourned to June.
Kuffour played for Asante Kotoko and Kpando Hearts of Lions during his career.
