The Deputy Minister for Information, Honourable Pius Enam Hadzide has disclosed that the government will soon bring closure to the events surrounding the late President Mills’ death.
President John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills served as the President of Ghana from 7th January 2009 until his demise on 24th July 2012. He had also served as Vice President from 1997 to 2001.
Several theories have emerged since the former President’s death with many suspecting foul play as the details were not really made clear. Suspicions intensified as the former president was swiftly buried without any official inquest.
The Issue has resurfaced once again after Former President Mahama instructed his lawyers to lodge an official complaint against vociferous NPP man Abronye over claims that the immediate past president has a hand in the death of his former boss.
Reacting to the issue, the Deputy Minister of Information explained that it is important to bring closure to the matter once and for all.
“The death of every individual is very crucial and the death of every Ghanaian must become a matter of significance to all of us. Especially the death of a President. John Evans Atta Mills was President at the time he passed and so I feel it will be an indictment on all of us as a nation if we are asked what caused the death of our President and we are unable to give any good response”.
