A throwback video of Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie from his ‘hungry’ days might help to explain why he has somehow developed a reputation for being stingy.
Sarkodie, in the throwback video looks bony and completely unrecognizable from the man he has become today.

Sarkodie often talks about how he was hungry for a long time until things turned around for him and he became the Sark of today (k)m ediy3 aky3) and this video is a perfect example of that.
In the video, Sarkodie was rapping a little freestyle, checking up the lyrics on his little phone.
The video has gone viral with everyone marvelling after seeing it -comparing that Sarkodie to the Sarkodie of today with puffy cheeks and slick hair is like night and day.
After going through such hardship, perhaps Sarkodie became conditioned to keep whatever he has for himself so that never happens again – gaining him a ‘stingy’ reputation!
