Gospel singer Celestine Donkor has chastised her fellow artiste Patience Nyarko over her recent attack on Joe Mettle.
According to Celestine, attacking Joe Mettle for not writing his own songs is childish because a lot of great singers don’t write their own songs.
Donkor also said as a soul winner for Christ, it doesn’t matter what kind of songs Joe Mettle sings so long as he’s winning souls.
“Patience Nyarko is a brilliant singer, she has good messages and Obi Nyanime and W’afom Kwan are great songs and she won a lot of hearts for that. I will tell her to maintain her focus, besides, it is not necessary that as an artiste, you must write your own songs,” Donkor said.
“Some artistes are not composers, it is okay that you find someone to write for you or do cover versions. At the end of the day if Joe Mettle won like 1,000 souls with Pentecost or Methodist Hymns, that is hurray,” she added.
Her comment comes after a ‘beef’ erupted between two gospel artistes, Patience Nyarko and Joe Mettle.

Nyarko had slammed Mettle for singing only Methodist and Pentecost songs without ever writing his own songs and blasted Ghanaians for hailing him because he sings in English whilst neglecting great singers who sing in Twi.
