A prominent Nigerian Entertainment Personality, Soso Soberekon has taken to social media to express his desire to pursue and claim a refund of his expenses, should any marriage he attends end in divorce.

According to the music producer, one issue that broke his heart recently was a wedding ceremony which he was compelled to purchase an “asoebi” worth 65,000 Naira to attend, and which unceremoniously ended in divorce after just a few months.

Aso ebi sometimes spelt as Asoebi is a uniform dress that is traditionally worn in Nigeria and some West African cultures as an indicator of cooperation and solidarity during ceremonies and festive periods.

Reacting to the issue, Soso revealed that he has consequently resolved to go into a written agreement with any couple that gives him an asoebi worth over N1,500.

According to him, he would ask the couple to sign an agreement with his lawyer. “You divorce, you refund me my money with interest” he noted.
