2019 BB Naija winner Mercy Eke has called for all human beings to treat each other with respect after the tragic killing of a black man by a white police officer in the U.S.
Mercy, in a post on Twitter, said how we treat people defines us.
Mercy Eke took to the platform and wrote: “Treat every human being with respect, no matter their job title or class… How you treat people defines you.,”
Her tweet comes in the wake of the murder of George Floyd, a black American who was choked to death by a white police officer.
The officer placed his knee on Floyd’s neck for several minutes and refused to lift it up even as he pleaded that he couldn’t breathe.
That death has sparked riots in numerous U.S cities in reaction.

If we could all live by Mercy’s tenet, we could avoid such atrocities.
