Obuor’s Family Might Face Prosecution If It Is Established That They Breached COVID-19 Protocols – Kojo Oppong Nkrumah Hints

The honourable minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has hinted that the family of ace musician, Bice Osei Kuffuor, popularly known as Obuor, might face prosecution if it is adequately established that they breached COVID-19 protocols in the burial of their late father.

The family of the musician, who is also aspiring to be a parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the NPP, came under severe scrutiny when it emerged that they ignored laid down protocols to organize a burial for their late father over the weekend.

Speaking on the issue on Joy News, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah stated, “If it was not a private burial with not more than 25 persons and they proceeded to have a funeral then, it will be in breach of the procedure that has been imposed. Therefore security agencies would have to act accordingly”.

Even though the family of the musician has stated that they received approval from authorities to carry out the burial of their late father, who was also the chief of the Oyoko clan of Juaso, some of the main authorities who were contacted by LUV Fm, denied authorizing any such action.
