The International Central Gospel Church, ICGC, led by the renowned Bible Teacher, Dr Mensah Otabil, has become the latest Church to announce its decision not to open for normal congregational worship despite President Akuffo Addo’s easing of restrictions.
In a statement signed by the General Secretary of the Church, Rev. Morris Appiah, the Church announced that no local ICGC assembly shall be open to run in-person church services until so advised by the Presbytery.
“We are mindful of the need for our congregations to gather and worship freely and openly. However, the current situation demands that we also consider the health and safety of all congregants.” The statement read in part.
ICGC joins the likes of Maker’s House Chapel, Spiritlife Revival Ministries and Destiny Empowerment Chapel International, to take this decision even in the midst of Government’s directive to allow Churches to operate under strict COVID-19 protocols.
