A Ghanaian businessman has dragged the butt of Ghanaian pastor Reverend Obofour to court alleging that he has been duped out of Ghc 190,000.
According to the businessman, Charles Frimpong, he transacted some business with Obofour and his church but till date, he has yet to be paid the full amount of their transaction.
He claims he is owed Ghc 190,000 by Reverend Obofour and has dragged him to the Accra High Court.
According to the statement of claim, Mr Frimpong provided Rev Obofour’s church with a power plant at the cost of Ghc 70,000.
After delivering the plant, Obofour made another similar order bringing the total sum owed to Ghc 140,000.
Obofour then asked the businessman to supply him with a transmitter costing Ghc 90,000, out of which he paid an instalment of Ghc 40,000 leaving a balance of Ghc 50,000.
That Ghc 50,000 added to the cost of the two power plants brought the total debt owed by Obofour to Ghc 190,000.
According to Mr Frimpong, he has been unable to retrieve that amount despite numerous attempts to do so from Obofour.
He has therefore sued the preacher in the High Court to retrieve his money.
