Controversial musician and political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus has advised the government to see beyond the coronavirus conspiracies and open the airports in order to save the economy.
In a post on Facebook, the political activist outlined a thought-provoking piece why he thinks the coronavirus pandemic has been utilized by some foreign powers to achieve their own agenda and pile more misery on vulnerable countries.
He wrote, “Anyone remember when the narrative was “dont be selfish, stay at home and flatten the curve. The virus moves when you move?” Why has it changed all of a sudden to “Go out and protest!!?” Has the pandemic ended? So all this while we could gather but won’t die? If we can go out and protest why can’t we go out to watch football and attend concerts? Taking the protest into consideration, were the restrictions even neccessary?”
“The same people who were asked to stay home to stop the spread are out protesting in their numbers. The irony is that, the same media (like fake news CNN) which brought us daily figures of deaths when people stayed at home have stopped counting now that people are out in their numbers. Now all they show us is protest, protest, protest. They don’t care about Covid-19 anymore because they have something better to use against Trump”.
“Open your eyes. Democrats have used you and will continue to use you if you don’t open your minds. Listen, many black people were killed by police under Obama. Why is Trump the issue now? Because he is against the looters?”
“Democrats plan all this to make Trump look bad! They protested around this same time in 2016 before the US election. The very day Trump won, even before he took office, they were in the streets protesting. They tried to remove him but failed. They have tried Everything!!! They even shut down the whole world this year just so that Trump will lose”.
“HE Nana Akuffo Addo, open the airport. Open up the economy. Coronavirus is real, just like catarrh!!! Tanzania didn’t close down anything except the airport which was closed on the 12 of April and reopened on the 19th of May. They are not dead!!!”
