Braimah Kamoko aka Bukom Banku debuted as a tv host Saturday night as his show ‘Bukom Banku Live’ hit the air for the first time ever.
Banku had a highly acclaimed first show which was the toast of social media users.
His first show tackled the topic of ‘Reducing teenage pregnancies in Slums’.
Banku interviewed the Minister of Gender and Social Protection, Cynthia Morrison, on the epidemic of teenage pregnancies in slums like Bukom and Chorkor and what the government is doing to fight it off.
Banku also had a segment in which he interviewed former EC Boss and now GhOne on-air talent, Charlotte Osei, on the same topic. Banku had Charlotte in stitches of laughter throughout with his broken English and effortless charm.
The show also had two other segments before ending – a hilarious weather report from Banku and a ‘word of the week’ – ‘exasperate’ – which the boxer nearly dislocated his jaw trying to pronounce.
Banku’s show is already seemingly a big hit with social media users with many praising Nana Aba Anamoah, Bola Ray and GhONe Tv for the concept and Banku for his performance and hilarious delivery as a host.
Bukom Banku Live airs Saturdays at 8:30 pm on GhOne Tv and looks likely to become a staple of Ghanaian tv going forward.
