Actress Yvonne Nelson has postulated that Ghanaians are happy to go back to church not because of worshipping God but for their own selfish and sinful reasons.
Yvonne took to Twitter on Sunday, June 7th to fire her shots on the first day back at church for Ghanaians in about 3 months.
“I hear all the marriage materials are in the church! Men who beat their wives and cheat on them, pastors who select their chics in the congregation…….dont worry, im up to something,” Yvonne fired.
“Some people go to church to show off, some, to look for partners, some ,to gossip, some ,to make money by sharing flyers , some, to socialize and very few to worship….” she added.
Ghanaian churches held their first ever in person service for the first time in 3 months after President Akufo-Addo lifted the ban on public gatherings – with restrictions.
The return to churches has not been smooth so far – with Duncan-Williams mocked for preaching with a facemask after declaring months ago that coronavirus will not enter Ghana.
Yvonne Nelson has also not minced words by calling out some Christians for being sinful and hypocritical even as they pack into the reopened churches.
