Yesterday, the sanctity of Waakye, Ghana’s unofficial breakfast was desecrated for life.
We are not sure it would be ever restored to its former glory if nothing is done about these Waakye they have shamelessly placed unattractively in mason jars.

Waakye in Jars trended on Twitter yesterday following the pictures that popped up.
Hiplife grandpapa Reggie Rockstone is behind these branding of Waakye that obviously is not going well at all.
According to him, the original Waakye in leaves is still very much available but people now have the option of choosing to have theirs served in a mason jar.
He adds that the ones in mason jars are targeted for people in banks and hotels and also people on the go and outsiders.
If this picture we are seeing is not photoshopped, then our sitting president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has joined the trend.
Deliveries of Waakye in jars have been made to him and he sits comfortably admiring what someone would call a tragedy to Waakye.
Waakye lives matter!
