Popular Ghanaian Gospel musician Grace Ashy has declared her love and admiration for controversial dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale for his ability to speak truth to power.

Shatta Wale is arguably the most vociferous musician in Ghana at the moment, having expressed his opinions without fear or favor on any particular subject he has deemed necessary to intervene.

Though the dancehall artiste has won the admiration of many for his boldness in speaking his mind, many have also criticized him for showing gross disrespect to his colleagues and some pioneers in the entertainment industry.

However, the latest to profess her admiration for the self-acclaimed dancehall king is a renowned gospel musician and foremost cheerleader of the Ghana Black Stars, Grace Ashy.

Appearing as a surprise guest on Angel 102.9 FM’s Sports Salad with Sadick Adams Sports Obama, yesterday evening, Mrs. Ashy was full of praise for Shatta, saying she wishes all musicians could fight for their rights like the dancehall king.
