Minister of Education, Matthew Opoku Prempeh has begun a 14-day period of isolation at the University of Ghana Medical Centre after suspecting to have contracted COVID-19.
The honourable minister checked in to the health facility on Monday after he returned from his constituency Manhyia South after emerging as a winner to retain his seat during the party’s primaries.
Speaking on Onua Tv on Wednesday morning, Public Relations officer of the minister, Kwasi Obeng-Fosu noted that the minister walked into the UGMC by himself to get tested after he displayed signs of COVID-19.
“He went for voluntary testing and as a medical doctor; he did not want to mingle so he decided to self isolate.”
Education Minister Matthew Opoku Prempeh has therefore decided to self isolates as he doesn’t know the outcome of his test yet.
