Controversial MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong is many things to many people. A grassroots man, a father-figure, a one-man campaigner against evil, but also a very loudmouth personality, no doubt.
Yet even though the lawmaker has not changed his style of politics, it is a fact that Ghanaians are beginning to change their perception of a man who a few years ago was widely tagged as an uncouth politician.
Today, TV stations are chasing him all over the place for interviews, radio stations as well. Interestingly, even those so-called high standard media houses who felt they were too big for the man Kennedy Agyapong, have all of a sudden seen the need to chase him even into his own house for interviews.
But just how much has Kennedy Agyapong gained popularity and acceptance. Well, we just saw it yesterday when he appeared as a guest on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana with Paul Adom Otchere.
The interview which was billed to start at exactly 9 pm, but which for some reason delayed for close to 30 minutes, still managed to garner over 11,500 viewers on Facebook alone.
This is even more surprising considering the fact that other equally popular politicians were also granting interviews at around the same time, across different networks. On the basis of the above, we cannot help but affirm that the maverick lawmaker is the hottest political figure at the moment, by a landslide actually.
