NPP crony and member of parliament for Tema West, Hon Carlos Ahenkorah has disclosed that he visited the various registration centres at his constituency although his test result confirmed he had COVID-19.
The member of parliament revealed in an interview as he reacted to reports that he is at the ICU at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after contracting the novel COVID-19 virus.
Though Hon Carlos Ahenkorah has admitted he has the virus, he has denied being at the intensive cure unit at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital.
According to him, he had earlier been admitted at the isolation centre in Korle Bu but he was later discharged and he is currently being monitored at home.
Responding to why there are photos of him on social media claiming that he visited registration centres on Tuesday, Mr Carlos Ahenkorah noted that he was informed by his doctors that he could go out after a week of having tested positive for COVID-19.
“I did not put the life of the people I met at the registration centres at risk. I tried to observe the various protocols put in place to fight the deadly disease. My results came back last week and my Medical Directors said after a week, I could go out”. He said on Asempa FM.
