From news circulating online following the death of the former New Patriotic Party’s General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John, it has been alleged that he died from Covid-19

According to sources, he died after battling it out with the deadly Covid-19.
He was receiving treatment at the ICU of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

He was the NPP’s General Secretary from 2010 and 2014 and CEO of the Forestry Commission from March 2017 until his death.
Sir John was 77 years old— may his soul find rest.
