Carlos Ahenkrah Resigns After Akufo-Addo Threatened To Fire Him

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has accepted the resignation letter of Hon Carlos Kingsley Ahenkrah, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry.

Akufo-Addo had earlier issued a directive demanding him to step down after he violated COVID-19 protocols.

In a statement released by the Communications Director, Eugene Arhin, Hon Carlos Ahenkrah has tendered in his registration letter on July 3rd.

Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency and now former Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Carlos Ahenkrah visited his constituency’s registration centres on Tuesday after he tested positive for COVID-19 which has apparently endangered the lives of others.

Despite, he has defended his actions, noting being tested positive for Coronavirus does not mean you should turn a ‘prisoner’ and hide in your room every day.
