Wisa Was Right – Tinny Misled Ghanaians About Having COVID-19 to Trend

Veteran rapper Tinny aka Aletse Kankpe has come out to deny reports that he tested positive for the coronavirus – COVID-19.

Tinny claims he joked to his friend Nii Funny about being COVID-19 positive but he’s never had the illness.

A statement released from his management team debunked the news release by Nii Funny on Wednesday.

“…We debuk all rumours surrounding this and assure fans, close relations and the general public that Tinny is healthy and has not in any way tested positive for the coronavirus,” the statement read.

“We believe this news came to public after a jest conversation between Tinny and one of his industry friends Nii Funny.”

When news came out about Tinny’s supposed diagnoses Ghanaians took to social media to roast him, claiming he was lying but just wanted to trend.

His fellow musician Wisa mocked him and said he just wanted attention because he’s hungry.

Lo and behold less than 48 hours later his team are coming out to debunk the news after it had travelled throughout, with a pathetic excuse that it was a joke.

We know Tinny’s career has gone down the toilet for the past few years but coronavirus is not a joke and this is really low from him. If the issue was a joke why would Nii Funny come out and release it as news? Sounds a lot like a planned publicity stunt!
