Many factors led to the eventual arrest of Hushpuppi but apparently stupidity was a very big factor as well.

Whilst living like a king in Dubai, flaunting mansions and cars even some rich men in Dubai couldn’t afford, he was supposed to be living on a monthly salary of $2,000.

Thus this big discrepancy between his declared income and actual lifestyle obviously brought the eyes of the authorities on him and once they started investigating, it was only a matter of time until he was caught.

Nigerian blogger Cuty Jules revealed this news, claiming that Hushpuppi’s work permit/visa to stay and work in Dubai declared his income as $2,000 monthly working a sales manager.

Yet from this $2,000 Hushpuppi managed to buy Rolls Royces and Ferraris, Rolexes and Swatches and mansions whilst flying up and down between Nigeria and Dubai whenever he wanted.

With that kind of lifestyle it didn’t take long for the FBI to start suspecting him of wrongdoing and eventually, gathering enough evidence to arrest him.
