The prolific actor, after considerable success in the creative arts industry, announced his intention to venture into politics, an announcement which was initially met with much cynicism from the general populace.

With many wondering if he really had what it takes to undertake the political journey, Dumelo left his critics in surprise when he staked a claim in the opposition NDC and eventually won the parliamentary primaries.

Now, with barely four months to elections, the MP aspirant has announced that the first thing he wishes to push in the floor of parliament if he should be elected is the rent control act.

According to him, the current practice in which landlords take two to three years advance payment as rent is absurd and must be scrapped to enable tenants to pay rent on a monthly basis.
