Ghanaian singing group DopeNation have responded to Kelvynboy over his anger that they beat him to win Afrobeat Song of the Year at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
According to the singing brothers, Ghanaians chose them over Kelvynboy and he just has to accept that.
The duo spoke to Abeiku Santana over what happened at the VGMAs.
“We appreciate everybody that was nominated. You could see that category was very tight and Kelvyn Boy was nominated and DopeNation was also nominated and charley the people voted. We have this award now and we are thankful to everybody for voting, this is big,” they said.
Kelvynboy made headlines Saturday night when he stormed out of the VGMA auditorium after DopeNation won the Afrobeat Song of the Year Award.
He had expected to win it but DopeNation’s ‘Zanku’ beat him to the award, leaving him pissed off.
He later unfollowed everyone on Instagram and angrily posted that he is the king of Afrobeats and no one can change that.
