A Ghanaian pastor known as Sylvester Ofori has been arrested after shooting his wife, Barbara, leading to her death.
Ofori reportedly tracked down and shot Barbara just outside her workplace in Orlando on Tuesday, September 8th 2020.
She sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead shortly upon arrival at the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Orlando PD say the incident was recorded on CCTV as it occurred in front of Barbara’s workplace, the Navy Federal Credit Union. Footage led to the arrest of her husband Sylvester as the primary suspect.
Ofori is being held without the possibility of bail.
A witness told News 6 that she saw the whole thing go down.
According to her, Barbara came out of her workplace to walk to her car and was being closely followed by a man, presumably her husband.
“The next thing I knew, he raised his hand with the gun in it, and he shot her. The guy was walking behind her. I don’t know if she knew he was there or not,”
Lisa added: “I started running and as I’m running, I hear three or four more shots.”
The motive for the murder remains unclear but police investigations are well underway.
