Veteran highlife singer Rex Omar has made a rather insane case on weed smoking.
He says although he does not smoke, he would not be the first to judge anyone who does because there is nothing wrong with it.
The Abiba crooner’s logic is that weed is as much a herbal as kontomire so anyone who uses the latter in their meals is no different from someone who smokes weed hence he sees no reason people should be judged for smoking.
“I don’t take weed yet I don’t have a problem with anyone who takes weed. We are sometimes too judgmental. If you eat kontomire and someone likes weed, they are both herbs so what moral right do you have to judge that person?”
He adds that lots of managers are responsible for their artists smoking weed as it is in some contracts that you have to give them weed backstage.
It has come to be believed that smoking and getting them high would result in effectiveness and sterling performances.
“There are artistes that if you call on them for shows, it is stated in their contract that you must provide them with weed backstage. That is what will help him do his work so you must provide it.
