Lawyers of R.Kelly have filled a new court case claiming the singer was punched repeatedly by another inmate in Jail while guards refused to help him.
CNN reported that the singer was assaulted in August by Jeremiah Farmer, who beat him up to get media attention for himself.

A video was presented to the court by the lawyers who claimed the assault left Kelly with “significant physical and psychological injuries”.
Kelly’s attorneys wrote in their filing that Farmer “roamed a great distance within the MCC before carrying out that act, without any opposition.
“An unresolved issue remains as to whether MCC personnel encouraged, and then allowed, a beating of Mr. Kelly to take place. That alone merits an evidentiary hearing.”

Reports also cited a guard, identified by center officials as “D. Szyhowski,” ordered Farmer to stop beating Kelly and sprayed Farmer with pepper spray.
R.Kelly was arrested and faced with federal and state charges including aggravated criminal sexual abuse, child pornography in Illinois and federal charges in New York, including racketeering and sex trafficking.
