Photos of an Army commander alleged to be the mastermind behind the Lekki Toll Gate Shooting has emerged on social media.

According to social media commentary, the man who ordered the massacre is called Francis Omata, an Army Commander in the Nigerian Force.

This comes few minutes after the Lagos State Governor, Sanwo-Olu blamed Nigerian military for the Lekki Toll Gate Massacre.

Last night, the Nigerian army reportedly opened fire on peaceful protesters at Lekki toll gate leaving several dead and many injured.

Prior to the incident, the lights were cut out, and CCTV cameras removed but a live Instagram video from Nigerian entertainer, DJ Switch gave the world a view of what happened at the scene.

In the live video, she stated that the commander in charge of the shooting was F.O Omata.
