Over 50 members of the Church Of Promise are reported to be trapped under rubble after the church building collapsed during a service.

An Eyewitness report and videos from the scene showed that member members had converged to continue a three-day fasting and prayers to intercede for their sick head pastor.
It is said that the building came down as the prayers was going on and about 51 members of the church were gathered. The eyewitness said only 21 have been rescued so far and 8 reported dead.

Investigation has also commenced to ascertain the cause of the disaster and the National Disaster management Organization (NADMO) is still at the scene rescuing people.
