Actor and Parliamentary aspirant John Dumelo says he did not wake up one day and decided to be a politician but it was a calling from the people of Ayawaso West Wuogon.

According to Dumelo, he has worked over the years in making his constituency better and the people thought it wise to make him stand for MP and represent them in Parliament.

“My Parliamentary bid is a calling. The people called on me to represent them and I heeded to their call.”

He added that although he does not have to be a parliamentarian to continue the good work he has been doing, it is only right to aspire for the position so he can participate fully in the decision making.

“I chose to go to Parliament so that we can make laws because that will help me represent my people better,” he told Peace FM.

John Dumelo is hoping to be elected as Member of Parliament of Ayawaso West Wuogon under the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
