On November 12,2020 at about 10 o’clock in the morning, Ghana was thrown into a state of shock when former President Jerry John Rawlings was declared dead.

New was that the retired military leader had been admitted to the National Cardiothoracic Centre at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital three days ago and was later moved to the Intensive Care Unit where he passed.

The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo declared a 7 days solemn mourning for celebrate the legacy J.J Rawlings left behind.

As custom demands, the family of the late former President officially informed Nana Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House and cameras captured the gloomy moment.
