Presidential candidate and wife of Late JJ Rawlings, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has withdrawn from the 2020 Presidential Polls.
Reports say the Electoral Commission has been informed about her decision to resign and will not be contesting this year as the Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Party (NDP).

An official report is said to be released by her party, NDP later today to properly inform the public on issues related to her withdrawal.
Nana Konadu is currently mourning the death of her husband, Rt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings who died on November 12, 2020 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

News surfaced that Nana Konadu took ill from grief after the death of husband. Sources say she decided to fall out of the race to properly mourn.
Nana Konadu is the first woman in the history of Ghana to run for Presidency in 2016 and she recently celebrated her 73rd birthday.
