Not only Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and Sarkodie are disappointed in not getting nominations at the 63rd Grammy Awards. In America, singer The Weekend has expressed his frustrations.
The weekend took to his social media page to accuse the Academy board of corruption and lack of transparency in their work.
He called the board to prove their legitimacy by being transparent to him and his fans.
Reports from TMZ suggests that The Weekend was approached on whether to perform at the Grammy Awards or to perform at the SuperBowl halftime but the singer and his team agreed with the Academy Board he will perform at both events.
The report continued that his decision to perform at the SuperBowl cost him his nominations. In less than 24 hours, this year’s nomination list has been met with a lot of criticisms from the public.
