Ghanaian actress and musician Raquel Ammah got three prestigious nominations at the Gold Movie Awards Africa but it has been revoked by the board and grand jury.

They made their announcement public in an official letter siting a number of red flags the board and jury noticed.

Raquel was nominated in Golden Actress in A Drama, Golden Most Promising Actor and Golden Discovery Actor for her movie Gold Coast Lounge.

The award board and jury stated in their letter that the actress violated some rules of the schemes which puts the reputation of the awards in jeopardy.

Some of the reasons sited were; The use of unprofessional language, the use of defamatory language and disrespect of the entire African film industry.

To make matters worse, she was ban from the award scheme for two years.
