A Ghanaian man has climbed a telephone mast in the Eastern Region and says he is not coming down until Nana Akufo-Addo is declared winner of the 2020 elections.
The man, popularly known as Ayoma in the Asenua community of the Kwabere east municipality, claims that he’s going to stay up on the mast and never come down until Nana wins reelection.
Ayoma reportedly climbed the mast with a gallon of water and some food items, completely prepared to stay there from now till Tuesday at least when the EC might declare results.
According to Abusua Fm: ““He has found himself a place to sit on top of the mast. His bag and gallon of water are all close to him. He told people in the area he was going to climb up the mast and until President Akufo Addo is declared winner in the December polls, he will remain there,”
His actions has drawn a crowd in the area who are stationed below the mast.
Abusua Fm adds that Ayoma has pulled such stunts before but has been stopped by the Fire Service.
Police have been called to once again bring Ayoma down from his perch.
