UK based Ghanaian singer Sonnie Badu has thrown his weight behind John Dumelo in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Parliamentary elections happening today.
Dumelo is standing as the NDC parliamentary candidate and taking on the incumbent NPP MP, Lydia Alhassan, in the nation’s most anticipated parliamentary race in a long time.
Initially, it appeared celebs were against John as Kalybos, Prince David Osei and Bibi Bright stormed Ayawaso to campaign for Lydia.

However, most other celebs have now come out in full force for John including Selly Galley, James Gardiner, Kofi Adjorlolo and many others.
As the election goes on today, Sonnie Badu has also come out for John.
According to him he’s non political but John is a good friend and he wants him to win.
“Whiles I stay away from politics as Advised by a wise man, I choose to wish this man, my brother and friend the best of luck … @johndumelo1. I am extremely proud of you … now guys hear me .. I am a national asset and I serve all presidents, but I would love to see this man win .. I am so proud of you John .. 💜💜💜 #IAmBadu,” he wrote.
The election is now on and within a day we would know who prevailed!
